  Eddy Richard Henry Eddy passed away at home on December 30, 2004, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 22, 1915 in Natchez, Mississippi to J.D. Eddy and Estie Graybill Eddy. Richard graduated from Johns Hopkins University and Vanderbilt University (Masters) with degrees in French and Math in 1935. He married his beloved wife, Ima Jean Giles Eddy on January 24, 1943 in New York City, while serving as a Lt. J.G. in the United States Navy during World War II. Following his military service, Richard and Ima Jean moved to Kingsville where he began his 36 year career with Humble Oil and Refining Co., now known as ExxonMobil, and he retired as a chemist at the Jourdanton Gas Plant in 1982.
