Mary Jean Eddy
Mary Jean Eddy, 59, of 946 N. 13th St., Sebring, died at 2:22 p.m. Saturday in the Alliance Community Hospital emergency room following a sudden illness.
She was born May 5, 1942 in Birmingham, Mich. to John and Thelma Jean (Ward) Babb. A retired sales clerk, Mrs. Eddy was a member of Pine Lake Christian Church.
She graduated from Lebanon High School in Pittsburgh, Pa. and attended Waynesburg (Pa.) College for one year. She graduated from Duff Business College in Pittsburgh. Mrs. Eddy was employed by the former Royal China Co. in the customer service department.
She loved playing bingo and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan.
Surviving are her husband, Ronald E. Eddy, whom she married Oct. 27, 1962; four daughters, Linda Kerns and Donna Tomsho, both of Sebring, Dana Marshall of Alliance and Ronnie Morgan of Mineral Ridge; four sisters, Barbara Madden of Midlothian, Va., and Shirley Guzman, Sharon Pethers and Janet Shook, all of Royal Oak, Mich.; five brothers, John Babb of McMurray, Pa., Alfred Babb of Volant, Pa., Mike Phillips of Royal Oak, Mich. and Jim Frieson and Jeff Frieson, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Clara Jean Ersoz.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Maze officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
Calling hours are 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the family present 7-9 p.m., and one hour prior to services Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. (1-21-02)
